wax leaf privet  Densely branched habit with glossy foliage responds well to pruning into topiary or small standard trees. Displays profusion of white blooms in late spring. Useful hedge, screen or windbreak. Evergreen. Full to partial sun. Fast grower to 8 to 10 feet tall, 4 to 6 feet wide. Cutting grown.

This is probably the most frequently used Privet because it is so adaptable to topiary forms. Available in neat, vertical poodle forms, which are lovely in simple elegant pots flanking the front door or porch steps. Buy pyramid form for topiary gardens to flank walkways and gateways or to position on each corner of a center square knot garden or parterre. Can be used for lush green background foliage or as a large-scale windbreak. Makes an effective sound barrier near busy streets

Care Instructions: Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. For a tidy, neat appearance, shear annually to shape.

This plant is best use for privacy. Hedge trimming is the best to maintain it. If you keep it small use hedge trimmer or pruning shears .The plant dose not look good natural it gets sloppy looking and starts to lean …Of course you must let the plant grow for a few months before  trimming  it .
