The Aerator

core_a4.jpg (24352 bytes)

Core aeration has become an important part of maintaining a healthy lawn.
Aeration machines like this one in the picture puncture holes in the lawn
and pull out 3 to 4 inch plugs through out the entire lawn.

Reasons why to aerate

  • The holes let air, moisture and fertilizer get down into the roots.

  • Improve plant growth, development and productivity.

  • Reduce water run off which will save you money on your water bill.

  • Increase fertilizer effectiveness.

  • Reduce thatch build up.

  • Improve compact soil. (Keeps soil from re-hardening)
